Dog-walking

Please note that the dog-walking service is currently full

Every dog loves the smell of fresh air, the odd sniff of a lamp-post and a good chase around the park with their favourite toy. If you can’t walk your dog as often as you or they would like, whether it’s due to long working hours or unexpected circumstances, the Furry Feet dog-walking service can help. Walks are available throughout the day seven days a week, whether your dog prefers a chilled-out sniffathon or an energetic hour of playing in the park, either singly or in a group of no more than four.

Our pooch gang is very important to us and we take the responsibility of them being in our care very seriously. We treat them as if they are our own pets, have fantastic bonds with them and love being part of their lives. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and understand that you may need to book or cancel at the last minute, offering a no cancellation fee policy.

We always use positive reinforcement methods when walking your dogs. This is a very important part of the Furry Feet philosophy – strongly praising and rewarding positive behaviour to discourage unwanted behaviour. Treats and toys are our most crucial pieces of work equipment! The aim of walkies is to have fun while maintaining control and encouraging good behaviour. We specialise in helping un-socialised or nervous dogs grow in confidence, learning to play and feel safe with canine buddies. Whilst we are happy to continue with any training when we are out with your pooch, please note that our dog-walking ethics are based firmly in positive reward-based methods. We will not use choke/check chains, physical punishment or any “pinning down” techniques .

Puppy visits

Got a new addition to the family? If you’ve recently welcomed a puppy into your home, you’ll know how important it is to get their little life off to the best possible start. Before they’re able to go out and about, all puppies need to socialise and get into good habits as early as possible.

If you can’t be with your puppy at any point, the Furry Feet puppy visits service includes regular visits to your home to feed and water your new pet, let them outside to relieve themselves (or tidy up if they couldn’t wait) and have some fun playing games and doing some basic training.
